This was the first portrait painting I ever painted with oil paints. I love looking at paintings and seeing the brush strokes. I didn't want to hide any of the strokes, I wanted to emphasize them. So each stroke direction had a different color.

I really like playing with perspective to get an interesting picture, so I challenged myself to paint this portrait of a man with with the point of view looking up towards him. This created a portrait that was a little more interesting than the normal eye to eye portrait.

My brother was really cute when he was younger so I wanted to remember those days and paint this portrait of him.

I wanted to get away from painting regular portraits so I played with colors and this was the result.

With this painting, I thought it would be interesting to show my color palette as the background
